- Training Coordinator, Training Team

I am the Training Coordinator at Making The Leap and my role involves coordination of two key Programmes, ACE for Schools and the Young Adults’ ACE Workshop. I recruit volunteers who contribute to successful completion of our programmes.

I joined the charity as a volunteer in March 2016 delivering the ACE programme in schools. Seeing pupils gradually engage and gain confidence was always inspiring and rewarding. I am now a full time member of the team, I love my work and being part of this great team.

I grew up in a loving family as the conflict was stirring in the Balkans. I was expected to go to university, however, as a result of the war, higher education was denied to me and future became uncertain. In the UK I managed to get my degree and my Masters, despite the hardships of when I first arrived. I have a strong understanding of the need to provide young people from disadvantaged backgrounds with access to training and education and to give them the opportunity to gain the skills to build professional networks.

An interesting fact about me:

My father is a painter, as a result I love art and painting.
